Best Internet-Ready TVs / Digital Advisor Buyer's Guide

Cheap (but Good!) TVs that are worth a closer look!

Sony BRAVIA KDL-32EX40B 32" LCD TV

Sony BRAVIA KDL-32EX40B 32" LCD TV

This modest TV is remarkably well-connected for its size and price, featuring BRAVIA Video, DLNA connectivity, and it's wireless LAN-ready. Sony's connected TV service isn't one of our favorites, but it'll get the job done, and if you want web-readiness on a small, sharp TV, this about the best that you can do. Bonus points for having a built-in Blu-ray player too.

Brand-name TVs that you can trust.

Panasonic VIERA TC-P50G25 50" Plasma TV

Panasonic VIERA TC-P50G25 50" Plasma TV

Panasonic plasma is always a sure bet for a great-looking picture. The VieraCast connected TV service is well-rounded too, featuring several video streaming options including Netflix. It also supports Skype video chat (webcam required and sold separately) so the G25 can be like one of the giant wall-mounted videophones we saw in Back to the Future II.

Cutting Edge TVs that will make your jaw drop!

VIZIO XVT553SV 55" LED TV

VIZIO XVT553SV 55" LED TV

Vizio's VIA is our favorite connected TV service out there. Tons of video streaming options, Yahoo! Widgets, and more wrapped up in an attractive, intuitive interface. It's also a great TV with impressive specs and performance for its price, including local-dimming LEDs and a 240Hz refresh rate.
