LG Infinia LW5600 Series LED TV Brief Review
LG Infinia LW5600 Series LED TV
1080p resolution; Local-dimming, edge-lit LED; TruMotion 120Hz refresh rate; 3D capable, passive-type (Cinema 3D); 2D to 3D conversion; Smart TV connectivity; WiFi-ready (adapter included); Magic Motion Remote; DLNA certified
For cost-conscious TV buyers who still demand the excitement of 3D technology, the LW5600 series models are the most affordable 3DTVs in LG’s LED lineup. Despite a lower refresh rate of 120Hz (which works just fine for most folks, though could possibly affect 3D smoothness), it shares many of the same popular, mid-range features with the one-step-up LW6500. The LW5600 boasts the same passive Cinema 3D technology for crisp, smooth 3D images with less cross-talk (i.e. double images) and also delivers the 3D experience though lighter and less-expensive polarized glasses (no power source required). For 2D viewing, local-dimming edge LED lighting presents bright, vibrant images, though as usual with this LED style, some parts of the screen are bound to be a bit brighter than others. In addition to the above-average picture quality for both 3D and 2D viewing, this Wi-Fi ready model makes it easy to connect to the Internet giving you access to movies and a wide range of applications using LG’s Smart TV function. The LW5600 is available in 47 and 55-inch configurations.
