best basic tv for recent colleage grad

What Tv would you recomend for a small living roomfor a recent college grad in my first apt. and on a limited budget --- I'm not a big Tv watcher and while flat screens are nice ,I think I would be fine ( given my salary ) with a reguar Tv

Define limited budget. You can invest a few hundred dollars into a decent TV. But with the prices beginning to plummet on HD, it doesn't really make sense to buy a brand new standard definition TV set these days. Especially when stores like Best Buy are going "all in" on HD, making standard def sets hard to find. You can get a pretty nice Samsung36" LCD HDTV for about $700, so why would you pay $400-500 for a standard def model?

Measure the space you have for the TV. Search for the best price for that size using this site for a guide you can't mess up.
