There should be a bigger word than merely 'television' to describe such an object. It's large, 58-inch display inspires a number of effusive adjectives like 'gigantic,' 'enormous,' and 'breathtaking.' To follow those up with 'television' makes the Panasonic TH-58PZ700U seem too regular. It's anything but.
Plasma televisions are being swiftly overtaken by LCD TVs in the 42 to 52-inch size ranges, but when you want something excessively big, something that will make friends and family jealous in the extreme, you'll come crawling back to plasma for the best balance of size and price. Now, this TV isn't inexpensive, but compared to what a comparably sized LCD would cost (if it were even commercially available, which it's not), you're getting quite a bargain.
