You still can't beat plasma when it comes to great bargains. The Panasonic Viera TH-50PX80U picks up where the 75U left off. It's a superb high-definition television that comes at an excellent price.
Why is plasma so cheap? Some people think it's an old technology, and yes, LCD is essentially replacing it in the HDTV market. Don't let that get you down, though. Plasma TVs, while heavier and with a little gloss, are still excellent and provide a cinematic-quality TV experience. Save your cash and enjoy yourself.
