Is there a question here? For best surround sound audio quality, route audio signals from the input device directly to your A/V receiver or sound system whenever possible. Use AVR AUDIO OUTPUT to send analog audio of the program currently shown on the screen to an A/V surround sound receiver or stereo system. Digital audio from digital channels and HDMI devices is converted to analog audio by the TV. If using an analog A/V receiver or stereo system, this is the only audio connection needed between it and the TV.

To connect a digital A/V receiver with Dolby Digital surround sound and PCM audio support:
Connect one end of the digital audio cable to DIGITAL AUDIO OUT on the back of the TV. Connect the other end to the COAXIAL DIGITAL INPUT on the back of the A/V receiver.

I guess the ? would be is that normal. Sorry for not making that clear. The sound is good and clear but it just is not as loud as I was thinking it should be, and analog and digital are about the same volume. Thanks for the info James.
